Earth Day
Earth Day 2007 Was a Great Success!
Earth Day was held on Tuesday April 22, 2008 from 7:30AM - 5:00PM. We had a beautiful Spring day, to welcome everyone. We had new and old faces stop down with cans, grab a bite to eat, and watch the swarms of people come in. But our general goal is to raise awarness, for the need to recycle, not just cans but everything.
Our employees at Garden Street love this day, even though at times it's crazy!!!
Garden Street on Spring Grove Avenue had 1275 customers and bought 34,041lbs of aluminum cans. Our New Haven Road Location had 629 customers and bought lbs 37,143 of aluminum cans.
We had great sponsors again this year, Stehlin's Meats and Tradewinds Ice Tea, both companies are locally owned and operated. We couldn't have had such great success without them, Thanks Again!
